Hello and Welcome to your Christmas Thursday Financial Freedom Newsletter!
We often talk about strategies and tools for building wealth, but one of the most powerful assets you have is your mindset. The way you think about money and opportunity can either hold you back or propel you forward. We believe that consciously shifting your perspective is a critical step on the path to financial success.
Today, we're excited to explore the difference between a scarcity mindset and an abundance mindset, and how you can start cultivating a perspective that attracts opportunities.
Scarcity vs. Abundance: What’s the Difference?
Your mindset is the lens through which you see the world, and it dramatically influences your actions. We want to help you understand these two opposing views so you can choose the one that serves your goals.

You are your biggest roadblock.
Easy setup, easy money
Your time is better spent creating content, not managing ad campaigns. Google AdSense's automatic ad placement and optimization handles the heavy lifting for you, ensuring the highest-paying, most relevant ads appear on your site.
A Scarcity Mindset operates from a place of fear and limitation. It sees life as a finite pie, where someone else's success means there's less for you. This perspective often leads to fear of taking risks, a focus on what could go wrong, and a belief that resources are limited.
An Abundance Mindset, on the other hand, comes from a place of opportunity and optimism. It sees the world as full of possibilities, where there is enough for everyone to succeed. This viewpoint encourages collaboration, creativity, and a focus on growth and potential. We believe this is the mindset of successful investors.
How to Cultivate an Abundance Mindset
The great news is that your mindset isn't fixed. You can actively work to shift your thinking from scarcity to abundance. We're optimistic that with intentional practice, you can open yourself up to a world of new possibilities.
Here are a few actionable tips to help you make the shift:
Practice Gratitude: Start each day by acknowledging what you're thankful for. Gratitude shifts your focus from what you lack to what you already have. We find this simple habit retrains your brain to recognize the abundance that's already around you.
Celebrate the Success of Others: When you see someone else achieve something great, celebrate it. Instead of feeling envious, view their success as proof that it’s possible for you, too. An abundance mindset believes that another person's win doesn't take away from your potential.
Focus on Opportunities, Not Obstacles: When faced with a challenge, train yourself to look for the opportunity within it. Ask yourself, "What can I learn from this?" or "How can this challenge help me grow?" We encourage you to see every situation as a chance to move forward.
Wall Street Isn’t Warning You, But This Chart Might
Vanguard just projected public markets may return only 5% annually over the next decade. In a 2024 report, Goldman Sachs forecasted the S&P 500 may return just 3% annually for the same time frame—stats that put current valuations in the 7th percentile of history.
Translation? The gains we’ve seen over the past few years might not continue for quite a while.
Meanwhile, another asset class—almost entirely uncorrelated to the S&P 500 historically—has overall outpaced it for decades (1995-2024), according to Masterworks data.
Masterworks lets everyday investors invest in shares of multimillion-dollar artworks by legends like Banksy, Basquiat, and Picasso.
And they’re not just buying. They’re exiting—with net annualized returns like 17.6%, 17.8%, and 21.5% among their 23 sales.*
Wall Street won’t talk about this. But the wealthy already are. Shares in new offerings can sell quickly but…
